I am a daughter of the winds and waters. A gypsy,
a witch, a storyteller. My Sun sign is Gemini, with Leo rising and
Moon in Scorpio, and I was born in the year of the Dog. My number
is 7, and my tarot arcane is the 2, The Priestess. I am a daughter
of Yemanja, the sea goddess, and Obaluae, god of the dead, in the
African-Brazilian mythology. I am also an artist, a stars reader,
a dreamer and a mother.
My name is Patricia. I was born in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, where I've been lived during all my life until moving to
the United States. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil,
and, as long as I grew up, my interest in art in general was increasing
as much as I perceived it was a perfect channel to express my ideas
and thoughts. I've attended drawing classes for a couple years and,
as well as drawing, I’ve dedicated myself to a large range
of artistical possibilities: dance, drama, music, design and literature.
I end up graduating in fashion design, having had a good training
in human figure drawing and representation techniques. I’ve
worked for several years as a web and graphic designer, as both
freelance and employee in communication companies, and also teaching
drama and body expression as a paralel activity. Later, I got a
degree in Art Education/Art History from the Rio de Janeiro State
University, working later as an Art Educator in regular schools
and art courses. It was just after leaving Brazil that I began to
think more seriously in a career on illustration, and now here I
am... Summonning dreams and old godesses, casting spells of colors,
unveiling the invisible. Attempting to reunite all the languages
I've learn in images; and if I can at least touch your heart with
them, my function as artist is accomplished. |
